Hide And Seek

Synopsis

The problem of open defecation is widespread in our country, it directly affects the lives of women and girls in rural and sub-urban spaces. Nine-year-old Bhuri faces the embarrassment, eve-teasing and harassment that comes with defecating in the open, and tries to overcome this daily trial. This story attempts to put forth the significance of toilets through the lived experience of little Bhuri.

Abhishek Verma

Abhishek Verma is an independent animator, filmmaker and communication designer. He is Young India Fellow of 2017-18 batch and based in New Delhi. He has passed out from Industrial Design Center, Indian Institute of Bombay in 2014, holding specialization in communication and animation film design. He holds a particular interest in typography, experimental narrative, traditional animation, screenwriting and illustration. He is working on feature animation project named "Oh my Dog!". This film talks about the recovery state from dystopia and importance of creating a new world space, with or without God.
